What a day, what a day.

The Collected Notes of My Day

I pulled my car into the narrow driveway by the entrance to my apartment. Not only was it not on the street, but it would have required QUITE A BIT of effort to be able to tow it out. It was there when I woke up and I didn't even have to sleep in it! Yay for warm blankies and pillows. :-)

Every polling place I went to, except for one, had illegal activity going on inside of it. I went back to Election Protection headquarters and spent an hour just filling out paperwork.

I know that paperwork is not quite as exciting as pictures and videography but the rules are the rules. You should have seen some of the things going down. I was like, "I know I'm Agent Ska and all...but this is another level."

Man. Senior citizens sure can be mean, too! I think my self-esteem could take a month or two to recover. Or maybe it'll just take a quick minute.

Congrats to everyone who ran a campaign- win or lose- it's good to have a competitive democracy.

As Einstein once said:

"[Curiousity] is a delicate little plant which, aside from stimulation, stands mainly in need of freedom."- From Schilpp, Albert Einstein: Autobiographical Notes, 17

(I bought a book of quotes by Einstein the other day at the Science Center. Yes, I am a dork. Thank you for letting me know.)

Night kiddos!

  1. Even in my sleepy little polling place in Greenfield, there was some fishy activity. The people who were working there asked to see my photo ID when I gave them my name - even though I'd voted in that polling place three times already. I refused to give it to them because I know that showing my photo ID isn't a requirement unless it's the first time I'm voting at a polling place.

Thanks for all your election protection work, Agent Ska. =)
