  1. I lived in Cleveland at the time & was 16 years old. I remember four dead in Ohio.

  2. i was just a bit older than that. i got accidentally caught up in the protest at point park college(u.)when they kids there didn't agree to join in with the others like cmu and pitt. it was an amazing sight. just tons of kids coming down the blvd towards point park college and rallying at the blvd and wood. it was tense but pretty peaceful. a couple of kids tried to piss off some of the cops but the cops were cool about it.

    scary times, those years.

  3. I was eleven years old. When we discussed it in current events at school the next day I was appalled to find out that all my classmates thought that if someone was shot they must have been doing something wrong. This was in a suburban/rural Westmoreland County school district. I knew even then that I needed to get out of the country and into the city -- any city -- when I grew up.
