  1. This is why we need this ordinance:

"A judge on Monday relaxed weapons restrictions against a Pittsburgh police officer who was under a protection-from-abuse order."

It concerns Ofr. Todd McCollum, who's been on the force for 10 yrs.

His lawyer whines: "It was so many years in the past."

The article tells us that he has a PFA issued this April which remains in effect til the end of this year, by a girlfriend who ended their relationship in 2000.

Additionally McCollum has another PFA against him from ANOTHER woman - just this April it was converted to a no-contact consent.

So, here's a guy that has 2 PFAs, from 2 women, against him THIS YEAR & his lawyer's saying that was long ago? And a judge is letting him take his gun home?

  2. I'm still wondering who will conduct the investigations and what resources will be allocated to make that happen in a timely manner.

  3. AHAHAHAHA. I have an annoying cough right now that won't go away. When I saw this, I nearly suffocated from laughter, coughing, and trying to breathe all at once. That's a hilarious post.

  4. So who protects the women/ enforces the orders?

    What's the message to them?

  5. To answer your questions, the job of investigating allegation of police officer domestics is the Office of Municipal investigations.

This officer in question resigned after the investigation, but prior to his being terminated.
